[News] YouTube app to be demolished on Apple's iOS 6

YouTube app dead for Apple's iOS 6
That's Right! You read it! Apple will not be including a specific YouTube app in iOS 6. This may be due to the course that Apple's licensing deal with Google has expired. But Apple may be secretly happy about that!
All those YouTube addicted Apple fans need not to freak out just yet as you can still access YouTube through its Safari web browser. Also, Google is working on a new YouTube app which will be available in the App Store. According to Engadget, the YouTube app will still be available for users on iOS 5 and under.

We already knew that Apple was dumping Google when it bumped Google Maps off as the default mapping tool for iOS devices (or soon to be) and now it's also dumping the YouTube app! But Google may not care as much as it did not make much money from it as its YouTube app on iOS did not play ads and also some content was not available through it. Seeing the numbers of people going on and using the app, you can see why Google is not happy about missing out on important potential ad revenue.

It could also be good news for iOS users that Apple has decided on ditching the YouTube app because it was poorly designed and hardly ever updated! But now as Apple have decided on ditching them, Google might now update the apps more frequently, and as their lack of presence by default on iOS doesn't mean that users will stop downloading them from the App Store!

There may also be a possibility that Apple will ditch all of Google's apps and services completely, but Apple will either have to find good alternatives, or make their own. (Which will have to have an extreme "Wow Factor" to it for people to use it instead of Google's most famous services and apps.) But if you remember back to 2009, you'll remember that Apple tried to block the Google Voice app but the FCC got involved and Google Voice ended up in the App Store after all! So we would think a complete "break-up" is very unlikely!

What are your thoughts on this so-called "battle" between the two most famous app makers? Let us know in the comments down below!
