[News] Samsung New Zealand Launches GALAXY Camera

Samsung GALAXY Camera launches in New Zealand!
Samsung New Zealand is launching the Galaxy Camera. This device is an advanced camera plus Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS integrated together with connectivity options of 3G and Wi-Fi. This is Samsung's first device to feature a camera to combine the features of a smartphone, except without the 'phone' part.
Most point-and-shoot camera owners now prefer to take snaps with their smartphones. But then there are some that upgrade to top-notch photography technology. Well this is where Samsung's new Android camera comes in. Where most smartphones use 'pixelated' digital zoom, the Galaxy camera uses a proper F2.8, 23mm, 21x optical zoom lens. This brings the image 'closer', and still retains its high quality, as opposed to digital zoom, which makes your image bigger but reduces the quality of the image.

The Galaxy Camera offers a generous 16 megapixels, whereas the limit for most smartphones is 8 megapixels. It also features Samsung's 'Smart Pro Mode' technology which has 15 different modes and settings for different sceneries.

The display is an HD Super Clear LCD screen at 4.8" so you can enjoy your quality photos on a quality screen. You can also use the built-in comprehensive photo editing tools to tweak your images taken with the camera, and can then also be shared with your social media sites like Facebook or Twitter, with their respective built-in apps.

The device also comes with 8GB of on-board memory with an expandable SD card slot.

The expected release date for the new GALAXY Camera is in late November and comes in white with the RRP being $749.
