[CES2013] Dolby introduces 3D TV Glasses-free!

Today at CES, Dolby has introduced a 3D TV that allows you to see 3D videos and images without those heavyweight glasses that gives you a headache! There has been a lot of tech introduced to help make the person viewing 3D more "comfortable" but they all still required some sort of user device. Dolby is the first to make this a reality.
Dolby 3D glasses-free 3D is a suite of technologies developed by Dolby and Philips together, that is applied to both 3D content and displays. It provides viewers with easy, exciting, customizable 3D viewing.

The core component of Dolby 3D is a pixel-accurate conversion/multiview-rendering module. It has been designed to deliver the industry's most "depth-accurate" 3D video for autostereoscopic (glasses-free) displays. It also does real-time conversion of 2D content to high-quality, crisp, 3D.

Dolby's 3D TV offers High-Definition 3D with crisp, clear, three-dimensional images that are built into the flat-screen itself, as opposed to being built into the glasses, so you are eliminating the need for 3D glasses. You can also customize the 3D intensity, so if you want the full force of 3D, or if you are sensitve to 3D, go ahead and fine tune the system.

If you are one of those people that still want to put on those 3D glasses when viewing 3D, well don't fret, because Dolby has you all sorted out as well! Dolby's new set gives you full HD, Blu-ray quality playback for the most amazing picture you've seen yet.

Not a lot of people think 3D is good or great just yet. But by Dolby making a glasses-free 3D TV, this could be a step-up to making 3D TVs more prominent in the future.
