[News] Samsung Galaxy S3 Rumour Roundup

The sales of the Samsung Galaxy S2 is still going strongly and was introduced at 2011's Mobile World Congress and was awarded "Best phone of the Year". It was even stated that it was better than the iPhone 4!

Now people are gearing up for Samsung's next version of the Galaxy S Family, the Samsung Galaxy S3. It is the most anticipated phone of 2012 and its said to be announced in the first half of the year.

Now as the first half of the year is coming up, people are getting more and more excited about the phone. There have been many false rumors of announcement dates for the phone.

Samsung is yet to make any official announcement regarding the Galaxy S3 but the pieces are slowly falling into place.

The Galaxy S3 (which could also be referred to as the Galaxy SIII) is bound to be at least powered by a dual-core processor, but since most new phones this year are coming out with quad-core processors, you would think that Samsung has a quad-core chipset in place, and given that Samsung has announced several Exynos cores during 2011 of which could possibly power the S3.

Most rumors suggest that the S3 will be sporting a genorous 2GB of RAM with internal memory of either 16 or 32 GB, depending on how much money you are willing to shell out when it comes out. The phone should also be capable of supporting up to 64GB MicroSD Card.

The next Galaxy should come prepared with the latest generation of Gorilla Glass - Corning Gorilla Glass and will feature either a 4.6, 4.7 or 4.8" screen that will display full 720P resolution.

The S3 rumors suggest that the rear camera will be fitted with a 12 megapixel with flash-enabled (obviously at this stage!) with a 2 megapixel front-facing camera that will support 720P Facetime.

We should also expect a longer battery life from the Galaxy S3 as Samsung were willing to trial out new ways for it's phones to have longer battery life without compromising performance.

We hope that Samsung will not let-down consumers with its yet-to-be-announced next generation Galaxy S3 phone.
